Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information 26 Academy ("we," "us") collects when you use 26-academy.com and its related services, including the question bank, weekly quiz contest, downloadable booklets, and our Instagram messaging feature — and how that information is used.

Who we are

26 Academy is an English-language tutoring service for Tawjihi (Grade 12) students in Jordan, run by Saif Jamal. You can reach us via WhatsApp or Instagram.

Information we collect

What we collect depends on how you interact with us:

Browsing the website — standard hosting logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, for security and performance purposes.
Downloading free resources (Basics Booklet, vocabulary lists) — no personal information is collected; these are direct file downloads.
The Question Bank and Weekly Quiz Contest — if you create an account or subscribe, we collect the information needed to run that account (such as name and email) and, for paid subscriptions, payment is handled entirely by our payment processor, Paddle — we do not receive or store your card details.
Instagram messaging — if you comment a specific keyword on one of our Instagram posts, we use Instagram's Messaging API to identify the comment (comment ID and text) and your Instagram user ID/username, and to send you one automated reply and direct message related to that comment.
WhatsApp / Instagram contact — if you message us directly, we see whatever information your WhatsApp or Instagram profile and messages provide, governed by those platforms' own privacy policies.

How we use Instagram data specifically

Our Instagram auto-reply feature only ever reads what it needs to do one thing: recognize that you commented a specific trigger word, and send you the matching public reply and direct message. Specifically:

We do not use this data for advertising or sell it to any third party.
We do not read or process comments unrelated to our configured trigger keywords.
We store the comment ID only long enough to prevent sending you a duplicate reply (up to 60 days), after which it is automatically deleted.
Access tokens and credentials used for this feature are stored securely as encrypted secrets on Cloudflare Workers and are never exposed publicly.

Third parties we rely on

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run 26 Academy, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

Cloudflare — website hosting, and the infrastructure behind our Instagram auto-reply feature.
Vercel — hosting for the Question Bank and Weekly Quiz Contest applications.
Paddle — payment processing for subscriptions.
Meta / Instagram — the platform through which our comment-and-DM feature operates.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, at any time — just message us on WhatsApp or Instagram. If you'd like us to stop sending you automated Instagram replies, simply avoid commenting the trigger keywords, or message us directly and we'll handle it manually.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for — for example, Instagram comment IDs are kept for at most 60 days solely to avoid duplicate messages, and are deleted automatically after that.

Children's privacy

26 Academy is intended for Tawjihi (Grade 12) students and their families. We do not knowingly collect more information from minors than is necessary to provide our tutoring and educational services, and we do not use any information collected for advertising to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our services change. The "effective date" above will always reflect the most recent version.
